How Your Piece Is Made

Each pair of baby or kid chaps begins as a raw hide that I hand-cut, shape, and prepare specifically for your child’s measurements. I work slowly and intentionally. The edges are shaped and smoothed by hand, the fringe is cut one strand at a time, and every tooling mark is placed with patience and purpose. As the piece comes together, it’s deeply conditioned and allowed to rest so the leather can absorb nourishment and develop the structure it needs for long-term use. Every stitch, cut, and detail is guided by care — creating a piece meant to be worn, loved, and remembered.

Turnaround Time

Production begins once the invoice is paid. Since every piece is made entirely by hand, turnaround time varies based on my current workload. I will provide a realistic estimate at the time of purchase and will keep you updated as your order moves through each stage of the process.
